Campaign for Warmer, Healthier Homes
Thank you for you interest in the project. Below is a summary of the project.
A more detailed explanation can be found here
Purpose
To provide insights into the link between living conditions and health, and to gather evidence to campaign for improvements in homes and funding.

Benefits for Participants
NESFIT will monitor your home environment for issues like poor ventilation, moisture, or air pollution, offering guidance to help participants make informed decisions to improve their homes and reduce energy costs. Participants also contribute to the wider community by demonstrating the need for housing improvements.

Eligibility
Residents of Tillydrone, Seaton, or Woodside in Aberdeen are eligible, including homeowners, tenants, and those in social or private housing. Applications are particularly encouraged from households with disproportionately high energy bills or health concerns related to their home environment.

Participation
Participants will receive two pieces of equipment (a battery-powered monitor and a plug-in hub) to measure environmental data. NESFIT will review this data and provide recommendations.

Project Duration
The project lasts for one year, during which environmental monitoring and advice will be provided.

Data Usage
At the end of the project, data will be collated, analysed, and shared with project partners and local communities. Data transmission is secure and encrypted, and data will be retained only as necessary for project purposes and in compliance with all Data Protection regulations.
